Outta Coentro is a fusion band that blends the vibrant rhythms of Brazil with the soulful grooves of jazz and funk. Formed by Wendell, a guitarist from Rio de Janeiro, and Jack Strand, a drummer from Minnesota, the duo met in another band and bonded over their shared love for artists like Dave Matthews Band and Lettuce. Wendell's background in Brazilian music, paired with Jack's enthusiasm for samba, shapes their unique sound. Currently, they're crafting new tracks for their debut album, offering a fresh take on modern instrumental music.

The history
"I use to dream and try to speak and not be able to do so, I was trapped in silent dreams, a daunting experience.
Then I start to write a instrumental song thinking about this situation and the idea of better listen came to me, as if my unconscious was ‘trying’ to telling me: “what if what I need is exactly listen to what I have to say on first place?”.
So when I started to write this song and then working on the arrangements I started to get my voice back and be able to express myself".
That’s why I called it “What If We Just Listen”, and after the song was finished I just was able to speak in my dreams again!
